Tamara Whilby was a nurse for over 10-years, with experience in Hospitals, Community and Retirement homes. Tamara is compassionate about helping others, so much that she collaborated with a strong team of women and men to build a haven for women & children in need of assistance.
Executive Director of Women and Children Precious Shelter
Angella Dacres is a Nurse Practitioner/Registered Nurse with over 25 years of nursing experience. She has had the opportunity to work in various hospitals, gaining experience as a registered nurse in different clinical areas such as Pediatrics/Neonatal care, Emergency medicine, psychiatric, general medicine and now as a Nurse Practitioner for stroke patients.
Angella is enthusiastic and passionate about being a part of the Women & Children Precious Shelter and assisting women and children facing violence by providing a supportive and safe environment by empowering them to be change agents in their future and reach for the skies.
Case Manager of Women and Children Precious Shelter
Hope Samuels is a former nurse for over 30 years, a mother and an advocate for those who need support during challenging times. As a nurse, she helped patients access publicly available resources within their community.
As a Case Manager at Women and Children Precious Shelter, her role is to help women and children access the tools they need to thrive.
Social Worker of Women and Children Precious Shelter
Raj Bacchus is a Registered Social Worker with a Master's Degree in Social Work. She has been a counsellor for over 30 years and is passionate about ensuring that children are safe and not put in a situation where there is harm.
As a children's aid worker for over 10 years, Raj intervened in situations where children were exposed to harm in many ways due to parental conflict and family violence. She has great compassion for children and will ensure they receive the resources and services to cope. Their health and wellness are foremost, and they should never be made to feel guilty or blame themselves because of parental disagreements.
Raj looks forward to being a part of the Women & Children Precious Shelter and will do her part to ensure that women and children will be more empowered.
Child And Youth Worker
Sheldon Bartley is a Child and Youth Worker with over 20 years of professional experience working with children and families. He has worked within school boards, literacy programs and The Ministry of Children and Youth Services to create programs and resources that support youth and their needs. Sheldon is passionate about empowering youth from diverse communities through faith and programs that will be offered at WCPS.
Program Facilitator of Women and Children Precious Shelter
Nicole Francis is a resilient woman, who loves God, her family, friends, and community. As an advocate and activist, she collaborates with families, community members, and professionals to address optimal inclusive practices for the vulnerable and disenfranchised.
Nicole is an educator by profession with over 23 years of experience. For the last 15 years, her passion has been educating children with Special Needs. In addition, Nicole is a Sexual Trauma Recovery Consultant, Registered Early Childhood Educator, Certified Life Coach, Special Needs/Behavioural Parent Consultant, Elementary Academic Tutor, Inspirational Speaker, Workshop Facilitator, and Event Planner. Nicole is excited to share her skills with Women and Children Precious Shelter and the families we will serve.
Manager of Public & Community Relations
Latisha Bloomfield is a speaker, moderator and participant at conferences on public relations, communications and social media. She regularly conducts social media workshops for a variety of organizations. She is a dynamic leader committed to incorporating an inclusive culture.
Currently, she is the Brampton community engagement council leader and the VP of operations of ReStart - an organization dedicated to the support and reintegration of youth in conflict with the law.
She has established herself to provide strategic communications and public relations advice and counsel to senior executives in large public and private sector organizations.

We are pleased to have Daniel Boiani of the MONACO BOIANI DE MARCO Barristers & Solicitors Firm join us as a part of our Legal Team. Boiani is a founding partner of Monaco Boiani De Marco, Barristers and Solicitors, with a focus on family law, including separation agreements, pre-marital contracts, cohabitation agreements, custody, access, child support, spousal support, property division, child welfare matters, Mediation/Arbitration, trial advocacy, independent legal advice and divorces (contested and uncontested).
