Tamara Whilby was a nurse for over 10-years, with experience in Hospitals, Community and Retirement homes. Tamara is compassionate about helping others, so much that she collaborated with a strong team of women and men to build a haven for women & children in need of assistance.
ANGELLA DACRES
Executive Director of Women and Children Precious Shelter
Angella Dacres is a Nurse Practitioner/Registered Nurse with over 25 years of nursing experience. She has had the opportunity to work in various hospitals, gaining experience as a registered nurse in different clinical areas such as Pediatrics/Neonatal care, Emergency medicine, psychiatric, general medicine and now as a Nurse Practitioner for stroke patients.
Angella is enthusiastic and passionate about being a part of the Women & Children Precious Shelter and assisting women and children facing violence by providing a supportive and safe environment by empowering them to be change agents in their future and reach for the skies.
HOPE SAMUELS
Case Manager of Women and Children Precious Shelter
Hope Samuels is a former nurse for over 30 years, a mother and an advocate for those who need support during challenging times. As a nurse, she helped patients access publicly available resources within their community.
As a Case Manager at Women and Children Precious Shelter, her role is to help women and children access the tools they need to thrive.
Tamika Curtin
Housing Manager
Tamika Curtin is a Addiction and Community Service Worker. Tamika has decided ten years in the healthcare field as a Personal Support Worker and a Nurse. She has a certified Mental Health Assistant as well as a Life Coach.
Tamika has devoted her passion and dedication to serving the community at Women and Children Precious Shelter to encourage women from all demographics. Her mission is to elevate and empower new growths and development to each person she supports. Tamika wears several hats: she is a mother of four, a mental health advocate, a public health service worker and a leader with the heart and mind to succeed.
Tamika is loved and respected among her peers, with her warm presents Tamika welcoming everyone with a smile.
SHELDON BARTLEY
Child And Youth Worker
Sheldon Bartley is a Child and Youth Worker with over 20 years of professional experience working with children and families. He has worked within school boards, literacy programs and The Ministry of Children and Youth Services to create programs and resources that support youth and their needs. Sheldon is passionate about empowering youth from diverse communities through faith and programs that will be offered at WCPS.

Women and Children Precious Shelter Legal Team
We are pleased to have Daniel Boiani of the MONACO BOIANI DE MARCO Barristers & Solicitors Firm join us as a part of our Legal Team. Boiani is a founding partner of Monaco Boiani De Marco, Barristers and Solicitors, with a focus on family law, including separation agreements, pre-marital contracts, cohabitation agreements, custody, access, child support, spousal support, property division, child welfare matters, Mediation/Arbitration, trial advocacy, independent legal advice and divorces (contested and uncontested).

Desna Green -Smith
Secretary of Treasurer
Desna has over 10 years of business/management experience in Banking, Property Management and Government service.
Desna holds a Diploma as a Personal Support Worker and has served in that capacity for many years.
Currently, she is working in accounts as an Accounts Payables Specialist where she ensures the smooth flow of transactions for the company’s operational needs.
She is a great support to the initiatives in supporting the Women and Children Precious Shelter.

Inderdip Singh Riar- has a degree in civil engineering. I have worked for 20 years in the government dept. public works (building road) along with many years experience as a developer.
I am passionate about assisting the ladies, from both Canada & India, who have been in domestic situations and not able to seek the resources or help themselves.
